About Marcus Preciado
Marcus was born in Panama the son of a Special Forces, Green Beret. As an Army Brat, he grew up bouncing back and forth in between Panama and North Carolina while playing every sport he could sign up for. He eventually finished his last years of high school in Santa Barbara, while his father taught Military Science at UCSB.
In 1990, he attended San Diego State University, where he played football, studied business, and met his wife Tracey. Marcus spent the first part of his professional career in the corporate world leading sales teams at industry leading companies such as Enterprise Rent-a-car and Owens Corning.
He then transitioned into full-time ministry serving ten years at San Diego’s Rock Church, where he had a dramatic impact as the Director of Sports. During his time at the Rock, he oversaw 30+ sports ministries, and founded SUPERFEST, a dynamic sports themed outreach. His final role at the Rock was as the Point Loma Campus Pastor.
Marcus now serves as the Athletic Director at Classical Academy High School, and has enjoyed leading the department to its most successful tenure in the school’s history. Marcus and Tracey have four children whom they love supporting.
